Encapsulated Motors
TM three-phase encapsulated motors have a degree of protection IP 67 according to DIN EN 60034-5. They are specially designed, water-proofed, squirrel-cage, single-speed motors without self ventilation. These motors are suitable for virtually all extreme operating environments with dust, fiber fly, dirt and water.
Submersible Motors
The three-phase squirrel-cage motors have a degree of protection IP 68 are are usually used for totally immersed operation below water up to a depth of 30 m, or just under 100 ft. The motors are available for direct mounting to the drive or as a complete unit with oil cup and mechanical face seal.
Water Cooled Three-Phase Motors
The water-cooled motors type WK are squirrel-cage induction motors with a water-cooled housing. The degree of protection is IP 55 according to DIN IEC 34, part 5. Increased degrees of protection can also be made available upon request. These motors are ideal for use in extreme environmental conditions with dust, fiber material, dirt and moisture, use in very low-noise machines, or as asynchronous generators for combined heat and power modules.
Flat Motors
With their slim build, these machines are used in drives with small inter spaces between spindles. Their especially strong design of bearings and shafts allows rated speeds up to 18,000 rpm when driven by a converter. These high-speed motors are mostly used in special machines for the machining of plastics, wood or metals.
